Home Sweet Home

When I was younger I lived in numerous different apartments, from what I have been told. I do not remember any of them, could not give one description. However when I was three years old my mom, dad, and I moved into a three bedroom house. Soon after we moved in my little sister, Jordan, joined us to occupy the third room.

The lot is the main reason we have never moved anywhere else. My dad is so attached to it and my mom could never find a bigger house that she liked that had a lot my dad would agree on. There is a good amount of grass to cut, a fence in yard for our dog, and tons of trees. To be more exact there were tons of pine trees. For a punishment, when we were much older than three and newborn of course, we would be told to pick up all the sticks and pine cones in the yard. After we were done with that we would be free to do whatever we pleased with the rest of our day.

My mom always had a creative side to her. She would take on small projects such as refinishing furniture around the house. Then she moved onto completely redesigning a room. The kitchen was first then her bathroom and then her room then my room and as you can see the list goes on. Knowing something one way for a long period of time and then having it change dramatically is a very odd feeling. However now that I am older i look back and realize she was just updating and keeping up with what was modern.

When i say that i am going home for the weekend this is the house I head to. I have never known anything different and although it may not be the biggest house around, to me, its home sweet home.

The Last Song

When this particular movie came out I was very excited because I had just got done reading the book. I went to see it in theaters with my little sister. She wanted to go because Miley Cirus, who is the main character. I was leaning more towards the main male lead, Liam Hemsworth.

The movie starts off with a troubled girl being forced to move in with her father. Her parents are divorced and she has lived with her mother ever since then. She resents her father for the divorce and is extremely unhappy about being there. Her little brother however is ecstatic and cannot wait to see the adventures in store at his dads beach house. The story goes on to tell a tale of a father that is dying of an illness and the kids find out the hard way. In the midst of this tragedy the daughter is falling in love with a local boy.

Throughout the film the family because to know each other and the daughter lightens up. She starts to talk to her dad about the boy she is falling for and they start bonding. She realizes that he is not all that bad and just when she is starting to warm up to him, they found he had fallen on the floor in pain. That is when they discovered that he was dying.

The mother came back to get the kids so that they would not have to see their father like that, the daughter decided to stay and help him and spend all his last days with him. They became so incredibly close and he passed away in his own home. This movie hits home because I am so close with my daddy, he is my best friend and the thought of losing him is unbearable.

I would recommend this movie to all young girls who are looking for a love movie mixed in with tragedy, which seems to be their favorite because it makes them feel like what they are going through is not really that bad.
